ST. LOUIS — Jason Robertson scored to extend his point streak to an NHL career-high 16 games for the Dallas Stars in a 4-1 win against the St. Louis Blues at the Enterprise Center on Monday.
Robertson has 29 points (17 goals, 12 assists) during the streak, which is the second-longest in Stars/Minnesota North Stars history, behind Brian Bellows (20 games in 1985-86).
He made it 3-1 at 15:54 of the third period when he skated down the right side after blocking a shot by a Blues defenseman. Niko Mikkolaand beat goalie Jordan Binnington from the blocker side to the face-off circle.
“I told him I’ve seen the goal-scoring ability, so the shot should impress him [heck] out of me, but it doesn’t,” Stars coach Peter DeBoer said. “The blocked shot impresses the [heck] out of me That’s what I liked.”

Wyatt Johnston had a goal and an assist for his first NHL multipoint game, and Jamie Benn had two assists for Dallas (13-6-4), which has earned a point in eight of its past nine games (5-1-3).
“This was a playoff-type game for both teams,” DeBoer said.
Scott Wedgewoodwho got the start after Jake Oettinger was unable to play because of an illness, made 23 saves.
“As a backup, you’ve got to prepare in case of anything like this,” Wedgewood said. “I took my nap, I ate my pregame meal. You’ve got to be ready.”
Brandon Saad scored, and Binnington made 20 saves for St. Louis (11-11-0), which has lost three of four after winning its previous seven.
“It was a pretty tight-checking hockey game,” Saad said. “They have a good team over there, and for the most part I thought we managed the game pretty well. But obviously, we need to create a little bit more action. Their goalie made some good saves that we could have found the back of with the net. They capitalized and we didn’t tonight.”
Wedgewood kept it scoreless at 13:37 of the first period when he robbed Pavel Buchnevich with a sprawling glove save.
“Sometimes you’ve got to be good and lucky,” Wedgewood said.
Johnston then made it 1-0 at 3:51 of the second period, scoring from the top of the right circle through a screen.
“We were able to play with the lead and gain a lot of confidence,” Johnston said.

Ty Dellandrea extended it to 2-0 at 7:57 of the third period, tapping the puck in at the right post off a passing play with Benn and Johnston on a 3-on-2.
Saad cut the lead to 2-1 at 13:17, redirecting Josh Leivo‘s shot from the half wall after Leivo intercepted Wedgewood’s clearing attempt.
After Robertson extended the lead for the Stars, Miro Heiskanen scored an empty-net goal at 17:25 for the 4-1 final.
“I thought we played a pretty solid first period. Second period, I thought we were good,” St. Louis coach Craig Berube said. “Third period, not as good. We need more of an attacking mentality in the third period.”
NOTES: Robertson has scored 15 goals in 14 games in November, trailing Patrick Laine for the most in a calendar month (18 goals in November 2018 for the Winnipeg Jets) in the past 25 years.
