MONTREAL – Hockey is finally back as the Canadiens hit the ice at the Bell Center for the first time this season on Sunday.
Here’s what you need to know ahead of the annual Red vs. White Intrasquad Scrimmage presented by IGA.
1. Doors to the event open at 1:30 pm Suite holders can enter the Bell Center 30 minutes early via the Suite entrance at 1:00 pm, but regardless of where your seats are located, fans should plan to arrive early to avoid lines , and be in their seats by 2:55 pm to catch the 10-minute warmup period. Puck drop is scheduled for 3:05 pm
2. Sunday’s scrimmage is a sellout, but fans without tickets can tune in from home on RDS INFO on TV as of 2:30 pm, or online via RDS.ca.
Meanwhile, fans in attendance will get to enjoy a free snack in addition to the game, courtesy of Coca-Cola, Lays, and Flow. Snack coupons will be distributed at the Bell Center entrances upon arrival and can be redeemed in sections 102, 111, 112, 114, 115, 118, 120, 122, 123, and M2.
3. The scrimmage will consist of two 30-minute periods, including 25 minutes of running time and the last five minutes operating on stopped time. The two periods will be followed by a five-minute 3-on-3 game with stopped time. If the game ends in a tie, a shootout will be held to determine the winning team.

Sunday’s scrimmage will be the fifth of training camp, following four intrasquad tune-ups at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard on Friday and Saturday.
Captain Nick Suzuki and Joel Edmundson are currently sidelined with injuries.
5. The Canadiens will be right back in action at the Bell Center on Monday, when they officially begin their preseason schedule with a date against the New Jersey Devils at 7:00 pm During his post-practice press conference on Saturday, head coach Martin St-Louis indicated that players not in uniform on Sunday will likely be on the ice Monday to face the Devils.
