BROOKLYN, MI. – The Quincy Lady Orioles punched their ticket to the MHSAA Division Three District 38 Soccer Championship with a dominant 6-1 win over Michigan Center in the semifinals of district play on Wednesday.

The game started off slow for both sides, as the teams played to a 0-0 stalemate for much of the first half.

Quincy finally started to get things rolling late in the half, putting home two goals in the final 10 minutes to lead 2-0 at the half.

In the second half it was all Quincy as the Lady Orioles scored four goals to put the game away. The Orioles were led by Kallie Glei who notched the hat trick, scoring three goals to lead Quincy to the win.

Sami Hollenbaugh also scored a pair of goals while Kaitlyn Galinis added a goal of her own.

The Quincy defense also had a great night, limiting Michigan Center to just two shots on goal.

Quincy now advances on to the Division Three District 38 Championship to face Brooklyn Columbia Central on Saturday at Columbia Central, beginning at 10 am
