Publix Food Markets on Wednesday opened its newest Alabama location at Bickley Station shopping center in Mobile.
The 48,387-square-foot supermarket is located at 9124 Cottage Hill Rd. Ste. 100 and will offer departments for grocery, dairy, frozen food, meat and fresh produce, as well as a full-service bakery, deli and pharmacy. The store also features a full-service seafood department, with fresh whole fish and fillets, Publix said in a statement.
“We are excited to open the doors to a new Publix location in Mobile,” said Hannah Herring, Publix media relations manager, in a statement. “We look forward to providing premier service and quality products to new and existing customers alike.”
The new Publix has contactless payment options, grocery delivery via Instacart and pharmacy delivery.
Good Monday publix Supermarket CEO Todd Jones said VP of Finance Gino DiGrazia and VP of Benefits Administration and Assistant Secretary Linda Kane will retire.
DiGrazia will retire at the end of this year and Kane will retire at the end of February, the grocery retailer said in a statement.
Publix is one of the country’s largest employee-owned grocers, with more than 225,000 associates on its payroll.
