KIDRON — The United boys soccer team picked up a big win by downing eight-time defending district champion Kidron Central Christian, 3-0, Saturday.
Goals were scored by Maddox Andrea, Wyatt Medure and Matthew Logan. Landon Jones and Louden Stryffeler had assists.
Ethan Hively made five saves in goal for his second shutout of the season.
United improves to 2-1, while Kidron Central drops to 1-3.
United will play Ursuline at Youngstown State University on Tuesday night.
West Branch 1, Newton Falls 1
BELOIT — The West Branch boys soccer team tied Newton Falls, 1-1, Saturday.
Scoring for West Branch was Cody McKenzie with an assist from Matthew Cederbloom. Will Weingart recorded five saves in goal.
The Warriors (0-1-1) will host Waterloo on Tuesday.
Beaver Local 1, Oak Glen 1
NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. — Beaver Local and Oak Glen played to a 1-1 tie in girls soccer action Tuesday.
Jordan Palmer scored Beaver Local’s goal with Caiden Lamp making four saves.
Aaliyah Siegel had the Oak Glen goal.
Beaver Local (2-0-1) will play Ursuline in the home opener on Tuesday.
Girard 6, Columbiana 1
GIRARD — The Girard girls soccer team topped Columbiana, 6-1, Saturday.
The Clippers are scheduled to host Waterloo today.
