The top of the league Gunners travel to St Mary’s on Monday morning AEDT and will look to extend their surprising one game lead in the Premier League and stay on top for another few weeks.

Southampton midweek had a win away against Bournemouth and that was a timely win for them, as they had not won a league game since August 31 against Chelsea.

Arsenal as said are flying high, on top of the league having only lost one game and that was to Manchester United (that form has worked out well).

Currently unbeaten in the Europa League as well, it is coming together quite well for Manager Mikel Arteta and his men.

As for playing Southampton, the Gunners have only lost one of their past seven to Southampton and that funnily enough was the last time they met. Which coincidentally ruined Arsenal’s Champions League hopes and dreams.

There is enough motivation for the Gunners to get up mentally and physically for this game.

This NHL season has gotten off to a ripper start: punters have seen plenty of scoring and with contenders seemingly everywhere there’s excitement all around the league.

Sunday sees the LA Kings, who were just shredded by Pittsburgh but had ripped off three straight impressive wins before that, take on a Washington Capitals who just got handled by the Ottawa Senators in a huge third period. Before that, they had two quality wins: so both teams are off to scrappy starts, but showing flashes of quality.

But this game should be great: between Vilardi, Kopi, Ovechkin, there’s plenty of names out there to latch onto. That said, despite the Kings having a solid start, the Caps and goalie Darcy Kuemper should hold on at home.

Tottenham have been unstoppable at home winning eight straight matches there and have had a great season so far sitting in third. Spurs haven’t lost to Newcastle since 2019 and should continue that run this matchweek.

The Magpies have had a great start to the season sitting in sixth, but do not have the same star power as Spurs and are yet to beat any team above them on the table.

Combining the last two score lines when these teams met would be Tottenham 8-3 Newcastle, showing that the brilliance of Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min up front for Spurs is too much for the opposition to handle.

Spurs look like a much better side this season as they aren’t relying on their star players for wins. Many of their players like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerb have stepped up this season and fit into their playing style perfectly.

Hojbjerb already has the same amount of goals and assists combined (4) through just 10 games, than he did all of last season and he has improved beyond sight.

Not knowing who will dominate each week makes the Spurs an extremely hard matchup and they will get another win here.

Haris Rauf has the most T20 wickets of any other current Pakistan player and he loves the big moments.

The big fast paced bowler has already proven he loves Australian and MCG conditions with a hat-trick for the Melbourne Stars a few years ago.

His pace and bounce will get the better of the Indian batsmen and will destroy some stumps on Sunday.
