Xbox is celebrating QuakeCon 2022 today by adding five classic Bethesda games to PC Game Pass, while the Microsoft Store is giving away three other games, as well as selling three titles for the first time.
QuakeCon 2022 isn’t set to kick off until later today, but Bethesda has already begun announcing a host of goodies ahead of the show via a press release. Starting today, five classic Bethesda games including Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Quake 4 will be available via PC Game Pass, and the Microsoft Store will be offering three titles for free.
The Microsoft Store offers three classic Bethesda games for free
Starting today, players on PC can play five classic Bethesda games as part of their PC Game Pass subscription, as well as purchase them directly from the Microsoft Store. Additionally, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks will be offering subscribers a bundle that unlocks every Quake Champions character. The new game additions include the following:
- An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire
- Quake 4
- Return to Castle Wolfenstein
- The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard
- Wolfenstein 3D
Alongside the new PC Game Pass additions, the Microsoft Store will be offering The Elder Scrolls: Arena, The Elder Scrolls: Redguard, and Quake Champions for free. We’ve just picked up the Quake Champions achievement list, so it looks like the game might be coming to console as well today. Heretic: Serpent Riders, Hexen: Beyond Heretic, and Hexen: Deathkings will also be available in the Microsoft Store but as purchasable titles.
On top of the awesome additions above, Quake has also been updated today, which has added the Threewave Capture the Flag team-based game mode and nine classic levels from the original mod to battle on.
