Pair of Yankees prospects named to MLB Pipeline’s All-AFL Team

The selections for the 2022 MLB Pipeline All-Arizona Fall League Team are here.

And two New York Yankees prospects made the list of best players from this year’s Arizona Fall league.

Tyler Hardman was one of the Yankees prospects honored. Last week, Hudson Valley Renegades third baseman Tyler Hardman was also selected as a South Atlantic League All-Star. The Yankees selected Hardman out of Oklahoma in the fifth round of the 2021 MLB Draft. He was picked No. 153 overall.

First baseman TJ Rumfield also made the list. He slashed .400/.477/.582 in 17 fall-league games, crushing 22 home runs. His .400 average was tied at the top of the AFL batting leaderboard. The 22-year-old Rumfield spent most of the 2022 season with Hudson Valley, hitting .284 in 52 games.

The Hudson Valley Renegades finished the season 37-27 in second place in the South Atlantic League.
