Paige Spiranac slams LIV golfers: “You wanted the money, now stay there”

The former professional golfer and one of the most famous influencers in the world of golf, Paige Spiranac, gives a lot to talk about every time she publishes something, usually her very nice pictures in which she shows off her beauty. But now she’s getting serious and has issued a warning to golfers in LIV Golf.

Since the emergence of LIV in golf, there has been an outbreak of players leaving the PGA to join the new association, which is backed by Saudi Arabia.

They opted for money and fewer holes

Many of those who joined LIV did so because of the juicy purses they could earn there, but also because, as its name suggests, it is a tour that believes in playing 54-hole matches.

This gave many of them more time to be able to spend with their families or pursue other activities, but several wanted to remain part of the PGA tour.

Paige believes that many of them were not sincere about leaving the PGA: “I have no objections. I’m a golf professional and I just want what’s best for the game. What I don’t like is that some of them are not transparent about why they have changed and now want to continue playing in the PGA. You took the money; now stay there if you’re so happy,” she expressed.

“If the golfers switched for money, they should own it and be happy,” she added.

Bad idea to sue the PGA

For Paige, what several LIV golfers did in suing the PGA Tour was not a good idea. Former PGA professional golfers such as Mickelson and DeChambeau filed an antitrust lawsuit against the US circuit in August 2022.

Eleven players in total sued the PGA after PGA commissioner Jay Mohahan restricted defectors from entering any PGA tour event.
