Eleven players, including the 6-time major champion Phil Mickelson, have sued the PGA Tour for suspending them from its events for playing at the LIV Golf Invitational Series. The move has split the golf fans into two, as half of them support the players, whereas the other half consider them wrong. Notably, the golf influencer Paige Spiranac is among the latter group, and she has her reasons for not supporting the LIV rebels.
“They are hurting the PGA Tour, who has built them up, who has given them so much money,” she said. The 29-year-old revealed her take on the LIV players filing a lawsuit against the Tour in the latest episode of her podcast, ‘Playing a Round with Paige Renee.’

It has only been weeks since MickelsonBryson DeChambeau, and other 9 LIV players filed the antitrust lawsuit against the Tour. Notably, three among them, including Taylor Gooch, had challenged the PGA Tour for its decision to disqualify them from attending the FedExCup Playoffs.
“I just think it’s a really sh***y move,” Spiranac said. The former pro-golfer explained that the Tour gave them the opportunity to establish their name. And it is wrong to go against the organization by filing an antitrust lawsuit.

Mickelson, DeChambeau, Taylor Gooch, Hudson Swafford, Matt Jones, Carlos Ortiz, Ian Poulter, Peter Uihlein, Jason Kokrak, Pat Perez, and Abraham Ancer are the 11 players to sue the Tour in court. The former major champion Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka are a part of the LIV community. However, they haven’t filed a complaint against the Tour.

“I do have a newfound respect for like DJ and Brooks because they’re staying out of it,” Spiranac said. She explained that the two know they decided to play in the LIV Series and are ready to face all the consequences, unlike others. On the contrary, the 11 players think, “I want to make money here. And I also want to make money here.”
