Now that Kevin Durant is officially coming back to the Brooklyn Nets, we can all move forward and focus on the upcoming NBA season.

It’s not hyperbole to say that if Durant moved, he would have completely shaken up the entire league.

Because of that, many oddsmakers weren’t sure who to bet on as the season approaches.

But now everything is in order and those same oddsmakers are beginning to formulate their list of the best and most promising teams in the league.

The latest numbers from Caesars Sportsbook have the Celtics with the best odds of winning the 2022-23 Finals, with +450.

Behind them are the current reigning champions, the Golden State Warriors, with +650.

The Phoenix Suns have +800, the same number for both the finally-healthy Los Angeles Clippers and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Milwaukee Bucks.

Odds In Their Favor

Yes, the Nets are in contention for the title, according to Caesars Sportsbook.

The team is behind the Bucks with +900.

That’s ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, and the Memphis Grizzlies and Denver Nuggets, who round out the list.

The lineup of this list isn’t all that shocking because not a whole lot has changed for these teams during the offseason.

The team that had the most changes is the Clippers, who got Kawhi Leonard back and also acquired John Wall.

It’s a little surprising not to see the Dallas Mavericks anywhere on this list, considering they made the Western Conference Finals last season.

Also, the Grizzlies have less of a chance than the Lakers?

That’s a surprising take.

These are just preseason odds and we don’t know how it’ll all play out.

As always, you should expect a few surprises in the upcoming season.
