MARQUETTE — The women’s soccer team at Northern Michigan University was among the recipients of a College Team Academic Award made by the United Soccer Coaches, the university announced recently.

These Wildcats were recognized for exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year as one of 501 women’s teams that posted a combined grade-point average of 3.0 or better.

NMU’s team had a combined GPA of 3.51 and were recognized as one of three GLIAC teams. For a web page that shows details about the award, visit sidearm-email& +Academic+Award&utm_content=bd44612a-9a35-4c0a-807e-a63ca43dcd21.

Northern opens the season in the USC national polls, receiving votes after just missing the top 25. The full poll is available online at .com&utm_campaign=Women%27s+Soccer+Receives+Team+Academic+Award&utm_content=30075ef5-7f6d-4041-abdb-9de2b3028388.
