Auburn won’t name a starting QB this week
Auburn fans hoping to get an answer at quarterback will have to wait a bit longer.
Head coach Bryan Harsin said on Tiger Talk Thursday that he did not plan to name a starting quarterback until possibly next week, the final week of the college football offseason (discounting Week 0). It seems that things aren’t quite set on the Plains, but perhaps fans will get the news they’ve been waiting for a few days before the Tigers play Mercer.
Potential Tigers prospect commits on Friday
Tigers fans could be getting some good news on Friday.
Wideout prospect Daquayvious Sorey, a four-star 2023 prospect out of Florida, will announce his commitment at 9 am CT on Friday. Sorey has been unanimously predicted to Auburn through 247Sports’ Crystal Ball, so it is likely that the Tigers will land the four-star talent and add it to the 2023 class.

The No. 16 Auburn Tigers soccer team has had a great start to its season.
After two wins to kick off the year, a header by midfielder Sydnie Thibodeux ensured that Auburn would tie the No. 2 teams in the nation, the Florida State Seminoles, 1-1 on Thursday. The team will be traveling to Winston-Salem, North Carolina to play Wake Forest on Sunday.
Auburn offers top linebacker in 2024 class
Bryan Harsin and his staff are going after a top 2024 tight end.
The Tigers offered 2024 four-star prospect Wendell Gregory on Thursday. Gregory, who hails from Marietta, Georgia, is the No. 16 tight ends in the country. Auburn is thus far the 15th offer that Gregory has received, and he’s sure to earn more as the 2024 class draws closer over the year.
