Kaycee Chavez and Emily Ray had one save each for NIC, which is scheduled to face Southwestern Oregon today in Tukwila at 8 am

TUKWILA, Wash. — Skagit Valley scored the lone goal of the match in the fifth minute to beat North Idaho College in a battle of the Cardinals at the NWAC friendlies at the Starfire Sports Complex.
It was the season opener for both programs.
