New York Islanders

Kyle Palmieri could return when the Islanders visit the Arizona Coyotes (9:30 pm ET; BSAZ, MSGSN, ESPN+, SN NOW) after missing 10 games with an upper-body injury.

The forward participated in a full practice Thursday and will be a game-time decision, according to coach Lane Lambert.

“He’s skating well. I think he had a pretty good practice today,” Lambert said Thursday.

Palmieri skated at right wing on a line with center Jean-Gabriel Pageau and left wing Zach Parise at practice. The Islanders did not have a morning skate Friday.

Anthony Beauvillier, who missed the past two games with an undisclosed injury, practiced Thursday and will also be a game-time decision. The forward practiced on a line with center Brock Nelson and forward Josh Bailey.

Adam Pelech was placed on injured reserve Thursday with an upper-body injury. The defenseman hasn’t played since Dec. 6.

Pelech is not currently with the Islanders, who are one game into a five-game road trip, but could join them later in the trip. The Islanders play the second half of a back-to-back set Saturday against the Vegas Golden Knights. — Alan Robinson

Philadelphia Flyers

Tony DeAngelo was placed on non-roster status because of a personal issue.

The defenseman missed his fourth straight game when the Flyers defeated the New Jersey Devils 2-1 on Thursday.

“Tony and I talked last night and it was more or less about his family situation, not about when he comes back,” coach John Tortorella said Thursday.

DeAngelo has 14 points (four goals, 10 assists) and leads the Flyers with an average ice time of 24:19 in 26 games.

Forward Olle Lycksell was recalled from Lehigh Valley of the American Hockey League. The 23-year-old made his NHL debut Oct. 15, and has 16 points (five goals, 11 assists) in 16 AHL games this season.
