Welcome to the NHL Buzz. NHL.com has you covered with all the latest news.

Florida Panthers

Sergei Bobrovsky will not dress when the Panthers host the Minnesota Wild on Saturday (6 p.m. ET; BSFLX, BSN, BSWIX, ESPN+, SN NOW).

Bobrovsky left at 2:01 of the first period in a 6-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday with a lower-body injury after he hit the post in a save attempt.

“Bob’s not going tonight,” Panthers coach Paul Maurice said. “We were concerned when we took him out, because you never know, but it’s way better than we thought. He’s possible for the (next) weekend. We won’t see him in the next three (games) we don’t think , most likely.”

Following the game against the Wild, the Panthers play at the New York Rangers on Monday and at the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday before hosting the Los Angeles Kings on Friday and the Boston Bruins the next day.

Bobrovsky is 12-13-2 with a 3.24 goals-against average and .897 save percentage in 30 games (29 starts) this season. The 34-year-old started three of the past four games and played in 18 of the past 22 after Florida placed goalie. Spencer Knight on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury on Jan. 10.

Knight was loaned to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League on Friday with the hopes that he can dress on Monday. Florida recalled Mack Guzdawho will back up starter Alex Lyon on Saturday.

“Spence is going to play for Charlotte today to get a full game in, get 60 minutes,” Maurice said. “He’s been out a long time, and we needed to get some rubber on him. And if he feels good, he’ll meet us in New York.”

Florida will also be without forward Eric Staal who was placed on injured reserve after he entered the concussion protocol following a hit from the Canadiens defenseman Mike Matheson at 18:20 of the first period on Thursday.

“Early returns were very good,” Maurice said of Staal. “You never know with this stuff but I would say he has potential for the (next) weekend as well.” — Jessie Pierce

New York Islanders

Cal Clutterbuck is out indefinitely for the Islanders with an upper-body injury.

The forward was injured in the second period of a 3-2 overtime loss to the Buffalo Sabers on Thursday.

Clutterbuck has eight points (four goals, four assists) in 34 games this season, and is second on the Islanders in hits (130) behind linemate. Matt Martin (166).

Forward Aatu Raty was recalled from Bridgeport of the American Hockey League. Raty played in seven games with the Islanders earlier this season and had two goals. In 27 AHL games this season, Raty has 15 points (seven goals, eight assists).

Detroit Red Wings

Tyler Bertuzzi will not play for the Red Wings against the Philadelphia Flyers (7 pm ET; BSDET, NBCSP, ESPN+, SN NOW) because of a lower-body injury.

The forward, who is day to day, was injured in the third period of a 3-2 win against the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday.

Red Wings coach Derek Lalonde said Bertuzzi could return in their next game, against the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday.

Bertuzzi has been limited to 15 games this season because of two separate hand injuries. He has five points (one goal, four assists) this season.

Boston Bruins

Brandon Carlo could be out for the Bruins in their game against the San Jose Sharks on Sunday.

The defenseman sustained a lower-body injury in the second period of a 3-1 win at the New York Rangers on Thursday.

“We’re going to be careful,” Boston coach Jim Montgomery said Friday. “We’ve got a real good extra defenseman in (Jakub) Zboril and if [Carlo] is not ready to go Sunday, we’ve got a little luxury of getting Zboril into games. We’ll see when we get home and we get our doctors on him.”

Carlo has eight points (one goal, seven assists) averaging 18:34 of ice time in 41 games this season.
