NFL players vote 3 former Crimson Tide onto All-Pro team

After years of being decided by the media and everyone else, the NFL players wanted some say in recognizing players on All-Pro teams. So, this year, the NFL players voted on their own All-Pro team for the first time ever.

Three former members of the Crimson Tide made the inaugural list including Josh Jacobs, Patrick Surtain and Minkah Fitzpatrick.

In a contract year with the Las Vegas Raiders, Jacobs did himself a massive favor by leading the NFL in rushing yards with 1,653. To be recognized as the lone running back is a massive honor and recognition for Jacobs.

Although the year in Denver was a massive disappointment, the Broncos defense was arguably the best in the league. A big reason for that is lock down corner Patrick Surtain who essentially eliminates one side of the field.

Finally, Pittsburgh Steelers’ Minkah Fitzpatrick, always seems to find himself on these types of lists as the best free safety in football. He is a complete X factor for the Steelers defense and they don’t even look like the same team without him.

It is very cool to see that the NFL piers think so highly of former Bama players as well and it will be fun to see if they can get four onto the list next year.
