NFL Draft 2023: Jets blockbuster QB trade; Giants upgrade offense; Eagles go for defense in latest 1st-round mock

Now this is a mock draft.

The 33rd Team is out with its latest first-round projections for the 2023 NFL Draft.

It includes a massive blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers finally moving on from quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Even better, it has the four-time NFL MVP going to the quarterback-hungry New York Jets, who have lost faith in former first-round pick Zach Wilson.

The deal includes the Jets’ first-round pick, No. 13 overall, which the Packers are projected to use on Ohio State offensive tackle Dawand Jones.

The Jets and Packers will have to work out some contract details, but the Jets give up at least this year’s first-round NFL Draft pick for Aaron Rodgers. This gives the Jets a chance to make a run at a Super Bowl with their talented roster. Green Bay uses the pick to inject more youth into the offensive line and defense Jordan Love’s blind side.

The Philadelphia Eagles have a pair of first-round picks thanks to last year’s trade with the New Orleans Saints.

At no. 10, the Eagles are projected to pick Oregon cornerback Christian Gonzalez.

Howie Roseman and the Eagles can never have enough corners and pass rushers.

At no. 31, the Eagles are projected to select Clemson EDGE Myles Murphy.

The Eagles feel like they got a steal at the bottom of the draft by picking the talented rusher.

The New York Giants have picked in the top 10 in four of the last five years. But they qualified for the playoffs as an NFC Wild Card this time around, and as a result, sit at No. 25, where they are projected to pick SMU wide receiver Rashee Rice.

Rice gives the Giants an outside receiver that can stretch the field.
