Nets’ Cam Johnson is a ‘potential’ free-agent target for the Houston Rockets

Brooklyn Nets forward Cam Johnson is a restricted free-agent this summer and given his performance in Brooklyn, he is one of the most interesting players as this summer goes on. According to a recent article by Kelly Iko of The Athletic, Johnson, among others, is a potential free-agent target for the Houston Rockets.

Due to the amount of young players on rookie contracts for the Rockets, Houston has a lot of cap space to spend on players like Johnson looking for a payday over anything else. The Rockets, per Iko, are expected to be aggressive this offseason as they look to acquire players that can either help them speed up the current rebuild or possibly skip the rebuilding process altogether.

While Brooklyn is expecting Johnson to draw interest from any team looking for quality free agents, the Nets need to be careful of a team like the Rockets possibly getting desperate and overpaying for someone like Johnson. Per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Johnson is expected to command a contract of four years and around the neighborhood of $90 million in value.
