RALEIGH, NC — Martin Necas scored at 2:19 of overtime, and the Carolina Hurricanes extended their point streak to 10 games in a 5-4 win against the Dallas Stars at PNC Arena on Saturday.
Andrei Svechnikov Couldn’t convert on a backhand feed from Necas, but Svechnikov gathered the rebound and passed back to Necas for the netfront tap-in.
“We came straight down the ice 2-on-1 with a little back pressure, so there wasn’t much time for making a play,” Necas said. “He made a great play back to me. It kind of bounced over [Dallas defenseman Miro] Heiskanen’s stick and went in.”

“‘Nechy’ made a nice pass and I got a lucky goal,” Teravainen said. “Usually it’s good to shoot it right away and just try to get it up.”
