NBA fans are eager for the new season to start.

We have been without basketball for a couple of months now and the wait for the 2022-23 season seems longer than normal.

During this offseason, we have seen a lot of developments, drama, and rumors.

It’s been exciting but there is nothing like watching the real thing.

While we still have some time before the new year begins, the start date is quickly approaching.

NBA insider Keith Smith notes that it’s now September, which means that we will have some NBA preseason games this month.

It also means that the NBA is back next month.

There is undoubtedly still a wait but it’s becoming shorter by the day.

As Smith puts it, “Almost there!”

The Preseason Approaches

While Smith is right that the preseason starts in September, there is still some time before it kicks off.

The preseason games this year will begin at the end of the month so weeks of patience are still required.

We all wish we could race ahead to the official start of the season, but that’s simply not possible – thankfully we have other things to look forward to.

Training camp is going to provide a lot of insight into the year ahead, and each team will also undergo media days that will surely give us a lot to think about.

Of course, there are still some big trades that could happen in the league before training camp starts.

There are plenty of free agents still on the market and a few big names, such as Donovan Mitchell, who could still be traded in the coming weeks.

The wait for the NBA season goes on, but there are other fun things to pay attention to in the meantime.
