NBA Goat Michael Jordan, Infamous for His Gambling Problem, Even Put His Meal From McDonald’s on the Line for an Epic Ad With Celtics Legend Larry Bird

  • by

NBA legend Michael Jordan, just like all sports persons, had a strict diet regime. However, every now and then, he gives in to his cravings. And well, his love for McDonald’s always had him going back for more. In fact, the NBA star would always order just one item from the menu and have it for breakfast. That is the last thing you would expect to hear about a professional basketball player.

But that’s not all. Jordan’s love for McDonald’s did not go unnoticed. The NBA giant had his very own ‘McJordan’ meal and went as far as to film a commercial with fellow basketball player, Boston Celtics legend Larry Page.

According to a former teammate of Michael Jordan, the NBA star had McDonald’s every day for breakfast and steaks before every game.

“I wasn’t cooking like I was, but my cooking started picking up. We ate a lot of McDonald’s back then. MJ ate McDonald’s every morning for breakfast. And before games, he’d eat steaks before every game.” Charles Barkley said.

Despite that, Jordan was actually quite attentive to his health. He hired a personal trainer, Tim Grover, who then reorganized the Chicago Bulls legend’s diet plan, dividing his meals into five to six parts.

Michael Jordan and his gambling problems

Being a celebrity has its upsides but it has its downsides too. They are constantly under the watchful eyes of the media hoping to get some ‘dirt’ on them. The Chicago Bulls legend was put under the spotlight when he was spotted in Atlantic City the night before the playoff Finals against the New York Knicks. His past gambling habits were bought up including his supposed gambling debt to alleged drug dealer Slim Bowler.
