The NBA Christmas Day schedule for the 2022 season will feature Memphis Grizzlies at Golden State Warriors, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
After Charania released the information, Ja Morant took to Twitter to tell Draymond Green that they got what they wanted.
During a Twitter beef after the 2022 NBA Finals, Morant and Green came to the conclusion that they had to meet on Christmas Day.
But before getting to how that story unfolded, here are the other matches Charania reports will be held on Christmas Day.
LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers will take on Luka Doncic’s Dallas Mavericks, while Giannis Antetokounmpo leads the Milwaukee Bucks against the LA Clippers.
Ja Morant and Draymond Green make it happen
After winning the 2022 NBA Finals, Klay Thompson called Jaren Jackson Jr. a “bum” and a “clown” for old comments about the Warriors.
That sparked Morant to defend his teammate by saying the Grizzlies owned real estate in the heads of the Golden State players.
Green jumped into the Twitter beef by clapping back at Morant, and the two got into a back-and-forth for the books.
The bickering ended with both parties agreeing a Christmas Day matchup between them was a must, with Green saying the champions would get home court advantage.
Morant and Green got their wish, with the veteran inviting the young star and his family over for dinner after the Christmas Day clash.
