NBA Championship Odds And Team Win Totals As 2022-23 Season Tips Off

The 2022-23 NBA season tipped off Thursday night with four of the top teams in action. The Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers are Atlantic Division favorites as they battle in the first game of the season. The Celtics are a leading favorite to return to the NBA finals for the second straight season, but a slight second choice behind the Eastern Conference favorite Milwaukee Bucks. The defending champion Golden State Warriors battle the Los Angeles Lakers in the Oct. 18 nightcap, and the Warriors are leading contenders again and co-favorites to win the Western Conference with the Los Angeles Clippers.

To celebrate the return of NBA action, FanDuel Sportsbook has another ‘More Ways to Win’ promo that gets NBA fans a 3 month subscription to NBA League Pass.

Most Valuable Players, Teams and Highest Paid

The stars are out again this NBA season, and the Most Valuable Player odds will also adjust and be available to bet throughout the season.

Recall last year the business of basketball and Forbes list of the valuations for each NBA team also had the NY Knicks, Golden State Warriors and LA Lakers as the leagues most valuable teams worth between $5.5 and $6 billion.

And heading into the 2022-23 season, LeBron James keeps pushing up the earnings record as the highest paid player with $124 million annually ($44 M on court, $80 M off court). The Forbes list of highest paid players includes Steph Curry ($95 M), Kevin Durant ($88 M), Giannis Antetokounmpo ($86 M), and Russell Westbrook ($82 M) rounding out the top 5 and clear leaders making monster money in basketball and endorsements. Curry earns the highest figure playing basketball and on the court this season at $48.1 million.

Durant and his sports business media network Boardroom struck a content-focused partnership with FanDuel earlier this year.
