Prior to the release of NBA 2K23 next month, the final season of NBA 2K22 will arrive this Friday with some brand new content to tide players over until the next installment in the series is released. Season 9 promises to bring new end game and invincible rewards to myTeam, as well as updated rewards for MyCareer, and much more.
Visual Concepts deployed a brand new patch earlier this week, which means fans are now able to pre-load the Season 9 update ready for its release this Friday. As the upcoming season of NBA 2K22 comes to an end in September, fans of the series will be able to jump right into NBA 2K23, which is scheduled to be released on September 9th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X| S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
In the meantime though, Season 9 of NBA 2K22 is right around the corner and Visual Concepts has confirmed the exact release date and start time for the game’s final ever season.
When Does NBA 2K22 Season 9 Come Out?
As confirmed via the official NBA 2K Twitter accountSeason 9 of NBA 2K22 will launch on Friday, August 12th 2022 at 8AM PT / 11AM ET / 4PM BST.
The new patch will be deployed for all platforms prior to the start of the new season, which means players will be able to jump right in once Season 9 begins this Friday. Visual Concepts have yet to reveal the theme of Season 9, and simply stated that the final season will include:
- End Game and Invincible MyTeam Rewards
- 3-Week MyTEAM Limited Run
- Updated MyCAREER Rewards including the Tiger, Jetpack and more…
