Cody Glass is staying in Nashville.
The 24-year-old center was set to be a restricted free agent before he signed a two-year, $5 million contract Saturday during the first day of free agency in the NHL.
Glass had 14 goals and 21 assists in 72 games with the Predators last season. He was second on the team with six power-play goals.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound center was acquired from the Vegas Golden Knights on July 17, 2021. He was the team’s first-ever draft pick when the went sixth overall in 2017. He led the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals with 62 points. (14 goals, 48 assists) and was sixth in the league in 2021-22.
The Predators also signed free agents Ryan O’Reilly, Luke Schenn and Gustav Nyquist on Saturday.
After their moves Saturday, the Predators have just over $11.2 million in cap space for next season, according to capfriendly.com.
