Investigation led police to sporting goods store
Police in Nanaimo have seized a set of high-end golf clubs and are looking for their owner.
The clubs were found Monday, Aug. 8, at a sporting goods shop in Nanaimo after an investigation into the clubs led officers to the business, noted an RCMP press release.
“Investigators formed the opinion that the golf clubs had most likely been stolen and as a result, the golf clubs were seized for safe keeping,” noted the release.
Investigators do not believe that the sporting goods shop is in any way associated with the theft.
Anyone with information about the theft or the rightful owner of the clubs is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file No. 2022-27377.
