Last year, MSI introduced the Prestige 16 lineup with mini-LED panels along with conventional Evo designs. This year, at CES 2023, MSI is introducing a revamped Prestige 16 Studio A13V with Intel Raptor Lake-H and Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 Studio options.
The new Prestige 16 Studio is about 16.85 mm thick and weighs 1.89 kg. The laptop features a 165 Hz 16:10 QHD mini-LED screen with 240 local dimming zones and 1000 nits brightness, which MSI says is Calman-verified for a Delta E of less than 2.
The Prestige 16 Studio A13V is powered by an Intel Core i7 Raptor Lake-H processor. MSI hasn’t specified the exact CPU SKU, but it is likely to be the Core i7-13700H. Complementing this is an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 or 4050 Laptop GPU with Nvidia Studio drivers. The Prestige 16 Studio can be configured with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5-4800 RAM and up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage.
The Prestige 16 Studio offers a dual-biometric login system comprised of an FHD IR webcam and a fingerprint reader. Port selection includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports in addition to two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.0-out, a microSD card reader, and a headphone jack.
MSI said that the Prestige 16 Studio’s 82 WHr battery can last up to 11 hours. There’s fast charging support with up to 100 W of USB-C power delivery that can charge the laptop up to 60% in 53 minutes or offer 1.5 hours of run time with just a 15-minute charge.
The MSI Prestige 16 Studio A13 starts from US$1,899 for the RTX 4060 variant.
