We all know Mookie Betts for his ability to hit tape measure shots, come through in the clutch, and win MVP awards.
The Los Angeles Dodgers knew what they were getting when they acquired the 2018 American League MVP.
Betts brings a little extra energy out onto the field with him.
His energy is contagious and rubs off on his teammates.
But there are other reasons why Betts is a fan favorite.
Last night, during the Dodgers’ series opener against the Milwaukee Brewers, Betts saw a young fan holding a sign asking him if he wanted to play catch.
True to form, Betts played a little catch with him and made his night.

Mookie Betts: Fan Favorite
There are a whole host of reasons to love Betts.
This is now one of them.
We can all appreciate his talents on the field, but we often forget that athletes are humans too and they do care about their fans.
Betts made another MVP move last night when he took time out of his day to make a young fan happy.
Aside from the grind and the competition, this is what you want to see out of a player.
It’s what fans hope to see out of their favorite players, and when that player lives up to those expectations, fans are happy campers.
You have to love this moment.
It’s the wholesome content we need right now.
Baseball is a game of competition, but when fans and players interact, it just makes your heart happy.
Not many fans can say they got to play catch with Mookie Betts, a two-time World Series champion, All-Star, and MVP, but this young fan can.
