Colorado, Toronto and Carolina are the teams with the shortest Stanley Cup odds, and they’re all in action Monday. Defending champion Colorado is up against division rival Minnesota.

Puck drop is set for 8:00 pm ET at the Xcel Energy Center with Altitude providing the broadcast coverage in the States. The Jets will be visiting Dallas. In their last five head-to-head meetings, each game ended either in overtime or a shootout.

Ducks vs Rangers Prediction

The New York Rangers won their first two games of the campaign, 3-1 against the Lightning and 7-3 against Minnesota. They surprisingly lost by three goals to the Jets in their latest outing. The Ducks won their opener vs the Kraken but then got stomped 7-1 by the Islanders.

In the last seven matchups at Madison Square Garden, the Rangers have come out on top in each instance.

Kings vs. Red Wings Pick

The LA Kings lost a pair of games to their Pacific Division rivals in Vegas and Seattle, but then they bounced back in a track meet, defeating the Wild 7-to-6. Detroit has started their campaign beautifully, with two wins against the Canadiens and Devils, both of whom weren’t playoff teams last year.

This game is basically a pick’em contest, with Detroit slightly favored, particularly because they’re playing at home.

LA vs DET Recent Results

Date Home-Away Moneyline Puck Line Over/Under
2/2/2022 Detroit 3 Los Angeles 5 LA LA Over
1/8/2022 Los Angeles 4 Detroit 0 LA LA Under
12/15/2019 Detroit 2 Los Angeles 4 LA LA Over
11/14/2019 Los Angeles 3 Detroit 2 (OT) LA DET Under
12/10/2018 Detroit 3 Los Angeles 1 DET DET Under

The Kings have had the Red Wings’ number in their last eight meetings. Seven of those have resulted in LA victories, and of those seven, all but one of them the Kings won on the puckline.

Detroit has lost four of their last five against the Pacific, while LA has won four of their last five against the Atlantic. Given their recent success against the Wings, the Kings are the play.

Pick: Los Angeles Kings ML (-109)
