Phulwade, 28th August 2022: Fifteen villages in remote tribal areas of Ambegaon taluka have not been reachable for years. Some villages are still facing difficulties in getting mobile range.
Citizens demanded that BSNL company towers should be built in this area. Accordingly, the former Home Minister of the state Dilip Valse Patil had given instructions to the concerned department to conduct an inspection two months ago. The BSNL Company has conducted a survey and approved towers for fifteen villages concerned.
According to the survey conducted, towers of BSNL companies have been approved in total 15 villages such as Sakeri, Megholi, Nandurki Wadi, Phulvade, Pimpri, Savarli, Kushire Budruk, Patan, Nhaved, Borghar, Tirpad, Aghane, Pimpargane, Mhalunge, Ambegaon and Hupe.
A lot of space is required for this tower. This tower will be operated on solar energy and the range of the tower will be up to one kilometer. Also, the 4G network will be available through this tower. The work of erecting the tower will be completed by April 2023 and the gram panchayats of the respective villages have been requested to provide suitable space. BSNL has informed that the work will be started immediately.
