Mobile Home in Southeast Rochester Catches Fire Friday Morning

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) – A mobile home in southeast Rochester is a total loss after a fire early Friday morning.

The Rochester Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in a mobile home at Bob’s Trailer Court in the 1900 block of Marion Road SE at 1:35 am

Firefighters arrived at the scene to find that half of the structure was involved in a heavy fire and two power lines were also on fire right next to the mobile home. RFD said firefighters knocked down the fire from the exterior while another crew searched inside the structure for possible victims. Nobody was home during the fire.

The mobile home was considered a total loss, including most of the household items and belongings inside. The damage estimate was valued between $50,000 – $70,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
