Alex and Chace are back with part three of their ranking series! Today, they look at the best NHL defensemen. If you missed centers and wingers, make sure to check those episodes too. First, the guys have news to discuss. They broke down the Sean Monahan trade that led to a long-awaited Nazem Kadri deal. How does this affect all parties involved? As well, what does it mean for the future of Carey Price?
Finally, they get into their Top 20 lists. As always, they start with some honorable mentions of players that just missed the cut. From there, they dive into their lists, comparing and contrasting certain players. A few names Alex has much higher than Chace, and vice versa. This leads to interesting discussion and debate on how to evaluate past performance including injuries, age, etc moving forward. However, when it gets to the top five of the list, both Alex and Chace are impressed when they have the same names.
Who are Alex and Chace? Alex and Chace are both from the Waterloo region in Ontario, Canada. Both of them grew up playing hockey and shortly after fell in love with analyzing it.
