MLB fans, like nearly all sports supporters, like to think they can predict the outcome of specific games or events at least informally.

From a simple bet with friends to gambling, this exercise has been done for generations.

An MLB.com writer, Will Leitch, is predicting the winners of the next 10 Fall Classics in MLB.

Even if he is not right in any of them, these exercises are always fun to do and to read.

“MLB.com breaks out their crystal ball and predicts the next 10 #WorldSeries matchups,” the league’s official Twitter account wrote.

Let’s break down his predictions.

First and foremost, it’s at least noteworthy that he doesn’t have the Houston Astros, perhaps the best team in the league at this moment, going to any of the next ten World Series.

Per Leitch, the Los Angeles Dodgers will win it all in 2023, which is actually very much on par with reality.

His first “bold” claim is having the Baltimore Orioles qualify for the 2024 World Series, and they lose to the New York Mets.

The New York Yankees return to the Fall Classic in 2025, but lose to the San Francisco Giants.

The Bombers return to the last series of the season two years after that, in 2027, and this time they take the trophy home.

The 2028-2030 period gets really interesting with the Orioles, the Detroit Tigers, and the Los Angeles Angels winning the World Series.

The Boston Red Sox do it in 2031 and the Cleveland Guardians take the 2032 Series.

How much of this will be true?

We will be fascinated to find out.
