MLB News: Aaron Judge: The two-day-old adopted baby that became a baseball king

  • by

Wwhen he was 10 years old, Aaron Judge admitted to his parents of being aware that he was adopted because he didn’t look like them.

It was not his biological parents who raised him, as within two days of his birth he was adopted by Patty and Wayne Judge.

“My parents are amazing, they’ve taught me so many lessons,” Aaron told the New York Post.

“I honestly can’t thank them enough for what they’ve done for me.”

MLB MVP

The New York Yankees star has been named MVP of the American League in Major League Baseball (MLB) after a historic season.

Athletically, Judge is a perfect machine. He is over six feet tall and weighs more than 120 kilograms. He stood out in the 2022 season, as he hit 62 home runs, beating the record of the legendary Roger Maris (61) and winning the MVP award in the ‘mecca’ of baseball, the Yankees.

His stats were astounding, as he had the second best batting average (.311), was first in home-runs, first in runs batted in, first in OPS, and the best in the comparative ranking of how many wins he would get out of his replacement.

After the All-Star break, he registered great figures (batting, on-base percentage and productivity) of .349/.502/.785, while his teammates sank to .223/.292/.360 in the main batting stat lines .

“You have to remember that Aaron comes from a small town where everyone knows everyone,” Judge‘s high school baseball coach Joe Piombo Sr. told North Jersey.

“He has the work ethic of a small-town kid. Aaron could’ve stayed in New York last [winter], but he came home and helped his parents around the yard. He went to our basketball and football games. He gives our kids hope that they can get noticed, too, even from a small community.”
