The only and the most essential MLB career prize Trout has not lifted yet is the World Series trophy. Nevertheless, that doesn’t reduce the magnitude of his immeasurable talent. He recently got spotted stepping out of a hotel with a handful of fans queuing up to catch a glimpse of him. However, as a pair of kids approached him for an autograph, he seemingly denied it.
Mike Trout: Carrying an unexpected demeanor
Despite playing for a fragile team, the $426 million contract is worth Mike Trout has repeatedly proven his individual might. His participation in this season got curtailed by injury. But fighting through fitness issues, he has left his mark this year as well. He created the MLB record of hitting a home run in seven consecutive games in this edition.
Thus, Trout is a fan favorite among baseball followers and a role-model player for the younger generation. However, a recent strange behavior by him has left the fan community divided. A brief video of him rejecting an autograph to a couple of kids received varied reactions on social media. As Trout can’t get blamed straight away, people have presented their respective explanations.
Podcast host Jersey Jerry posted the video on Twitter quoting, “Mike Trout not for the kids. I hate to see it.”
One fan replied, providing his explanatory take on the incident:
Or maybe he was in a hurry and couldn’t stop? Celebrities don’t owe us anything – especially in their private time when eating, traveling or with their families. Boundaries need to be respected and often aren’t. This is a nothing burger.

A few more fan reactions:
Many athletes and celebrities like Trout like privacy at the hotel and therefore don’t sign there and want privacy. It’s another thing if he never signs (Alonso, Acuña, etc), but he does almost daily on the field. Been lucky enough to get him at Yankee. It was nothing personal. pic.twitter.com/cO5BtCyzsZ

Not sorry for him being stuck on the Angels anymore

What’s messed up here is people are defending this with excuses like contracts barring him from signing or because he’s in a hurry or parents planting kids. When you get so famous just saying hi, a wave, or any passing acknowledgment becomes too much to ask.

That is a real jerk move. Only two kids and he blows them off? Seriously? Like he has an important schedule right now on a horrible team where he has been on the bench more then playing…Geez

In total defense of Trout, amidst the debate:
Mike Trout is 💯 for the kids! While our story is different and once and a lifetime, there are countless stories of Trout going above and beyond for his fans!! What he did for my son is just an extremely long list of him giving his time to kids and fans every single day!!!! pic.twitter.com/iH8vGpudK2

So, while some people reacted angrily, others understood that Trout must have had certain reasons behind the act.

Therefore, each day is not the same and people including Trout, aren’t always in the best of moods.
The Millville Meteor’s remaining journey of the season
Following another nightmarish campaign, the Angels got eliminated from playoff qualification. This means the remaining games are now a mere formality to complete. That also implies, Trout has to wait another year to see when he will ever be a World Series champion.
