MINISFORUM is now selling the Neptune HX99G globally, nearly two months after the company previewed the mini-PC in Japan. As expected, the Neptune HX99G is not as expensive in the US as it is in Japan, where it started at JPY 182,980 (~US$1,431). Instead, MINISFORUM sells the Neptune HX99G at the following prices:
- Barebones unit: US$839
- 16 GB RAM/512 GB SSD: US$979
- 32 GB RAM/512 GB SSD: US$1,039
- 32 GB RAM/1 TB SSD: US$1,079
- 64 GB RAM/1 TB SSD: US$1,199
While the Neptune HX99G contains the same Radeon RX 6600M as the Neptune HX80G, the former pairs this discrete GPU with a more powerful APU, as well as superior RAM and better I/O. Specifically, the Neptune HX99G ships with the Ryzen 9 6900HX, a Zen 3+ based APU that also features the Radeon 680M iGPU. Additionally, the mini-PC supports DDR5-4800 RAM, a PCIe 4.0 SSD, USB 4 connectivity and can drive two 8K monitors at 60 Hz with another two connected at 4K/60 Hz.
The Neptune HX99G manages all this in a 205 x 203 x 69.3 mm chassis. Perhaps unsurprisingly, MINISFORUM has included two cooling fans, seven copper heat pipes and has applied liquid metal across the machine’s APU and GPU dies. It is worth noting that MINISFORUM has had issues with applying liquid metal correctly with the EliteMini HX90. Currently, MINISFORUM hopes to start shipping Neptune HX99G orders at the end of next month.
