On Tuesday, Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 and Surface Pro 9 were introduced in India. By the end of the month, the company’s Surface-branded laptops will be sold in India. The Microsoft Surface Pro 9 and Surface Laptop 5 versions are certified as Intel Evo devices and have 12th Gen Intel Core i5 and i7 CPUs. The laptops will go on sale in India on November 29. The company unveiled the laptops in international regions last month as the newest models in its Surface portfolio.

Prices for the base variant of the Microsoft Surface Pro 9 in India start at Rs. 1,05,999 for consumers and Rs. 1,11,899 for businesses. This model has an Intel Core 12th Gen i5 processor, 8GB RAM, and 128GB storage. The top-tier model, which includes an Intel Core 12th Gen i7 processor, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage, costs Rs. 2,69,999 (for consumers) and Rs. 2,69,599 (for businesses) in India.

The base model of the Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 in India has a 13.5-inch display, an Intel Core i5 12th Gen processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage, and costs Rs. 1,07,999 (commercial price) and Rs. 1,11,899 (consumer price). The most expensive 13.5-inch display model costs between Rs. 1,78,999 (consumer price) and Rs. 1,80,899 and comes with a 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage.

The Surface Laptop 5 is also available with two Intel Core i7 12th Gen processor variations and 15-inch display options. At a cost of Rs. 1,39,999, the entry-level model will have 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM (consumer price). The most expensive model, which has 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM, will cost Rs. 1,88,999 for home users and Rs. 1,90,699 for business users in India.

According to Microsoft, customers who purchase the Surface Laptop 5 during the pre-sale period will receive a Surface Poppy Red Arc Mouse worth Rs. 7,499, while those who purchase the Surface Pro 9 will receive a Surface Pro Keyboard (Black) worth Rs. 14,999.

Microsoft Surface Pro 9 specifications, features

Microsoft states that the new Surface Pro 9 laptop has a premium aluminum body with customizable settings for its Signature Keyboard. The laptop has a built-in kickstand and a 13-inch PixelSense edge-to-edge display with up to 120Hz refresh rate.

The laptop has an HD camera, Omnisonic speakers, directional microphones, and a G6 CPU designed specifically for Microsoft that supports haptic signals. This may be used with Windows 11’s new GoodNotes app or Microsoft OneNote’s new Ink Focus feature.

According to the manufacturer, the device has Thunderbolt 4 connectivity for quick data transmission, docking to multiple 4K displays, or connecting to an eGPU.

The 3:2 PixelSense display on the Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 is available in 13.5- and 15-inch sizes. According to the business, Dolby Vision IQ is supported on both display sizes. The Surface Laptop 5’s speakers include Dolby Atmos 3D spatial processing installed.

There are two versions of the 13.5-inch Surface Laptop 5: one with an Intel Core 12th Gen Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256 GB of storage; the other has an Intel Core 12th Gen Core i7 processor, 16GB RAM, and 512 GB storage.

In the meantime, there are two storage configurations available for the 15-inch Surface Laptop 5 model, both of which are powered by the Intel Core 12th Gen Core i7 processor. The lower-end model comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the higher-end model has 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

A precision touchpad and a quick log-in with Windows Hello are further features of the Surface Laptop 5. Additionally, the laptop has a Thunderbolt 4 charging port. According to Microsoft, the Surface Laptop 5 is 50% more efficient than its predecessor.
