Michael Busch swings into the top 10 prospects list for MLB Pipeline

Former UNC second-baseman Michael Busch is gaining some momentum in the minors after being named to the top 10 prospects to watch in his position.

Busch last laced up for the North Carolina Tar Heels in 2018, landing with the LA Dodgers in round one of the 2019 MLB draft. Since then, the 25-year-old has put on a show in the minors, becoming a top prospect to watch.

This top 10 prospect list for second-baseman includes top draftees that have already begun to make a name for themselves. Busch lands second on the list, with many expecting the Tar Heel to play in the majors this upcoming season.

The top 10 list breaks down the player’s best qualities, giving Busch credit for his power swing, which earned him third in the minors for most extra-base hits with 70.

In three seasons of minor play, Busch has 52 home runs and 177 RBIs’, with a batting average of .267.
