The Mets begin a four-game series as they take on the San Francisco Giants on Thursday at 9:45 pm on SNY.

  • The Mets are 5-1 on their West Coast road trip, so far.

  • Prior to the game, the Mets recalled Joey Lucchesi from Triple-A Syracuse. He will start for the Mets on Friday.

  • Max Scherzer, was suspended for 10 games and fined $10,000 for his use of a foreign substance in Wednesday’s game against the Dodgers. The RHP will appeal the decision.

  • Pete Alonso remains tied for first for home runs (8) in all of MLB. He’s tied with the Cubs’ Patrick Wisdom.

Who is starting for the Mets?

Kodai Senga, who pitched 4.2 innings in a no decision on April 14 against the Oakland A’s is on the mound. In three starts this season, Senga is pitching to a 3.38 ERA and a 1.44 WHIP.

Who is starting for the Giants?

Sean Manaea, who pitched just 3.1 innings against the Detroit Tigers on April 14, is on the mound for San Francisco. In three appearances (two starts), Manaea has yet to factor into a decision and has a 4.76 ERA in 11.1 innings this season.
