Men’s Soccer Earns 2021-22 United Soccer Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Creighton men’s soccer program was recognized by the United Soccer Coaches with the organization’s Team Academic Award for 2021-22.

United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of high school and college soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year. College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2021-22 academic year.

The Bluejays accumulated a 3.21 GPA during the 2021-22 academic year. This year marks the program’s ninth straight recognition, and 14th honor in the last 15 seasons. CU has been honored 16 times overall.

A total of 746 college teams (220 men, 382 women) earned the Team Academic Award, including seven members of last year’s BIG EAST Conference. The Bluejays’ men’s and women’s teams were one of 130 schools to have both programs recognized.
