Men’s Golf Begins Season at Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University men’s golf team is set to begin its 2022-23 season at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational, hosted by Ball State, on Friday and Saturday. The two-day, three-round event is set to be played at the Delaware Country Club in Muncie, Indiana.

Live scoring for the tournament is provided by GolfStat.com.

The course is a par 70 with a total yardage of 6,438. Competition begins Friday with a shotgun start at 9:00 am Teams will play 36 holes on Friday and then another 18 on Saturday. The final round on Saturday is set to begin at 9:30 am

Competing for Marshall will be seniors Tyler Jones spirit Christian Boydredshirt sophomore Joseph Kalaskeyand sophomores Ryan Bilby spirit Clayton Thomas. Thomas will be seeing his first collegiate action.

Marshall is one of 15 teams at the event. Along with host school Ball State, the Herd will be competing against Butler, Central Michigan, Cleveland State, Dayton, Eastern Kentucky, Evansville, IUPUI, Loyola, Northern Kentucky, Oakland, Ohio, Purdue Fort Wayne and Wright State.
