FIRST TEAM
P: Duncan Bowles, Sr., Randall
The Amarillo College signee went 13-0 giving up just 14 earned runs while tossing 116 strikeouts with a 1.23 ERA. Was named District Pitcher of the Year for the third straight year
C: Mason Gilbert, Sr., Randall
Gilbert was named Offensive Player of the Year after batting .373 with five homers and a team-leading 49 RBI.
INF: Sterl Welps, Sr., Nazareth
Hit .461 with 35 RBI and 30 runs scored. Was a first team all-district performer and stellar defensively with a .917 fielding percentage.
INF: Josh Bass, Sr., Bushland
If there were a runner-up for Player of the Year, it would be Bass. He hit .524 with 45 runs, 60 RBI, 22 steals and six home runs. Finished the year with an astounding .970 fielding percentage at shortstop. To top it off, he was the Falcons’ best pitcher, going 12-1 with 100 strikeouts.
INF: Isaac Garza, Sr., Plainview
Hit .424 with a .500 OBP, eight home runs, 39 RBI, 21 runs and struck out just twice all year. Was also a stellar pitcher, going 7-1 with 21 earned runs allowed and an ERA of 2.37.
INF: Wilson Ward, Sr., Clarendon
Was named District MVP after batting .510 all year. Was also an excellent pitcher for the Broncos.
OF: Tanner Birkenfeld, Sr., Nazareth
An outstanding fielding percentage of .906 is good enough to earn consideration, but add on a batting average of .380, to go with 23 RBI, 25 runs and 10 stolen bases and it’s easy to see why Birkenfeld earned the nod.
OF: Hagen Shedd, Jr., Randall
The Texas Tech commit scored 45 runs with 35 RBI, four home runs while batting .358 en route to first team All-District honors.
OF: Max Rodriguez, So., Bushland
A candidate for Newcomer of the Year, Rodriguez batted .468 with 50 runs scored, 50 RBI, 22 stolen bases and an OBP of .600. Named first team all-district.
DH: Braygon Conrad, Jr., Claude
Hit .504 with just one strikeout all season, while scoring 35 runs and stealing 25 bases. Also went 7-3 with 106 strikeouts and a 2.91 ERA.
USEFUL: Cannon Melban, Jr., Bushland
Batted .425 with 30 runs, 30 RBI, and three home runs. Was also an outstanding pitcher, going 9-1 with 70 strikeouts.
SECOND TEAM
P: Carson Heiman, Sr., Nazareth
In 14 games pitched, he went 10-1 in 12 starts. Added two saves and maintained an ERA of 2.15. Was just as effective at the plate, hitting .388 with a .517 OBP, 22 RBI and 31 runs scored.
C: Luke Schulte, Sr., Nazareth
Caught 13 runners stealing and picked four runners off in 114 1/3 innings caught. Outstanding hitter, too, with a batting average of .406, an OBP of .529 to go with 17 RBI, 37 runs scored and 13 stolen bases. Was named District MVP.
INF: Kole Dudding, Sr., Randall
Missed a month with a sprained AC joint, but the Oral Roberts signee and AGN Preseason Player of the Year was still named Co-Defensive Player of the year for District 4-4A. Also batted .342 with four homers, 24 RBI and 34 runs scored.
INF: Kaden Juarez, Sr., Randall
The Seward County Community College commit batted .368 with 36 RBI and 39 runs scored on the year.
INF: Kade Gavina, Jr., Bushland
Leadoff hitter for the Falcons batted .575 with 50 runs scored, four home runs, 48 RBI and 30 stolen bases. Only struck out twice every year.
INF: Azriel Vargas, So., Sunray
Led the Bobcats in hits with 45, while also hitting at a .577 clip. Finished with a 2-1 record on the mound with an ERA of 1.54.
OF: Cutter Livermore, Sr., Canyon
Hit .424 with 42 RBI, 31 RBI and a team-leading 42 hits.
OF: Max Neff, Fr., Pampa
Named first team all-district after batting .344 with 18 stolen bases. He also concluded with an OPS of .943 to go with a slugging percentage of .500.
OF: Cannon Davis, Sr., Amarillo High
The Amarillo College signee hit at a .424 clip to go with 40 RBI, three home runs and 28 runs scored.
DH: Logan Lassiter, Sr., Olton
Hit .500 with 47 RBI and scored 38 runs on the year. Also finished with an 8-0 record and maintained a 1.96 ERA on the mound.
HELPFUL: Bryton Bertrand, So., West Plains
District 4-4A Newcomer of the Year hit .368 with five home runs and 30 RBI. On the mound, he amassed a 4-2 record to go with 59 strikeouts and a 2.15 ERA.
