While we all await the festive season to celebrate it with family and friends, there is another reason why we look forward to major festivals. Well, it’s because, on major festivals like Diwali and Holi, e-commerce websites offer heavy discounts.
Mangaluru man gets stone, e-waste after ordering a gaming laptop
So, naturally, people tend to order a lot of heavily priced items from these websites during sale time at reduced prices. One man from Mangaluru too thought of making a big purchase and decided to order a laptop from Flipkart. However, things turned out to be grim for this person when he did not receive what he ordered, as per reports.
Chinmaya Ramana took to Twitter to speak of his ordeal. He claimed he ordered a laptop from Flipkart but instead got a big rock and some e-waste instead. “Ordered for laptop and received a big stone and E-waste! During Diwali sale on Flipkart (sic)!” he wrote
The man had shared pictures in his post. One of the pictures read his email to Flipkart where he said how he had ordered an Asus Tuf gaming laptop on October 15 and received the order on October 20th. Upon receiving the delivery and giving proof to Flipkart about the wrong delivery, Flipkart allegedly denied any refunds on the order.

In a follow-up post, the man wrote, “Today I’m regretting my self for choosing Flipkart for every time. For those who are reading this if you don’t want to feel the same, then just don’t order on Flipkart. If something goes wrong they won’t help you. You will feel helpless like me (sic)!”
Ramana even posted an unboxing video showcasing how Flipkart did not have an open-box delivery system for this particular package. Open box delivery package has been introduced by Flipkart after several complaints were made about customers receiving the wrong packages throughout the Diwali season. This helps the customer to verify, on receiving the package, that the correct items have been delivered.

After this post by Chinmaya got attention and many criticized Flipkart for negligence, the e-commerce brand took responsibility and refunded the full amount to Chinmaya. As an update to his post, Chinmaya wrote, “Guys issue is closed Flipkart refunded my full amount. I will continue my shopping with Flipkart.”
Guys issue is closed
Flipkart refunded my full amount ❤️
I will continue my shopping with Flipkart ❤️

This is not an unusual incident. Several such complaints about different e-commerce brands have surfaced on the internet. Many people have received things they did not order.
