Jersey Shore’s Aliyah Neece scored for the Bulldogs, but it wasn’t enough as Troy scored five for a 5-1 win at home. Grace Welshans was in goal for the Bulldogs and recorded 10 saves.
Addy Parker scored the first two goals of the game for Troy for a quick 2-0 lead. Neece’s goal cut the deficit to 4-1 before Parker recorded her third goal.
• The Lock Haven University volleyball team closed out their weekend at the Top Hat Classic, hosted by Davis & Elkins, and came up short against Glenville State and Virginia State on the final day of the tournament. The Bald Eagles lost to Glenville State, 3-1 (25-21, 25-12, 20-25, 25-20) and Virginia State, 3-1 (19-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25- 18).
The first set of the day saw the Bald Eagles drop a close opening set, 25-21. Glenville State used the momentum and won the second set, 25-12. LHU bounced back with a strong third set, winning 25-20 and smacking four aces during that set, but the Pioneers claimed the match in the fourth set with a 25-20 win.
Senior Riley Runk contributed on both sides of the court, leading the team with 13 digs, while also picking up three aces.
