I recently came across the HP Pavilion Aero 13 laptop, and I must say that I am extremely impressed with it. This laptop fits into the “affordable, but not budget” category, and its size makes it perfect for on-the-go use. With it weighing in at under 2.2 pounds, it was quite a relief to know that carrying this laptop around with me would be a breeze.
The laptop features a magnesium alloy chassis and silver finish, along with an HP logo in the center of the lid, and plenty of ports. I was pleased to find a full-size HDMI port, a USB Type-C port (which could also be used to charge the laptop), an audio jack and a power connector. The laptop can be opened up easily with one hand, and the size and feel of the keyboard was okay, although I did find the keys to be inconsistent. The touch pad was a great size, however, and I appreciated the fingerprint scanner on top which allowed me to use Windows Hello to log in.
One of the features I liked the most about this laptop is its display. It offers a 16 by 10 ratio and provided me with over 500 nits of brightness. The color saturation and accuracy were also excellent, perfect for those who need to do any sort of design work with this laptop. The speakers, however, weren’t too impressive and lacked any real depth or base.
