Amazon US has discounted the LG UltraGear 48GQ900, nearly two weeks on from a similar deal on eBay that has since expired. To recap, the UltraGear 48GQ900 has a 47.5-inch OLED display with a 4K native resolution and a 120 Hz default refresh rate. However, LG allows people to overclock the monitor to 138 Hz when needed.
Additionally, the UltraGear 48GQ900 offers 0.1 ms GtG response times, 98.5% DCI-P3 color space coverage, twin 20 W speakers and an array of ports, which are as follows:
- HDMI 2.1 x3
- DisplayPort 1.4 x1
- USB 3.0 Type-A x1 Upstream, x2 Downstream
- 4-pole H/P out (DTS HP:X)
Currently, Amazon US has discounted the UltraGear 48GQ900 to US$896.99, a 40% discount from its US$1,499.99 list price. By contrast, LG sells the same monitor in the US for US$899.99. As with other deals, it seems that Amazon US is undercutting competitors by a few dollars. Alternatively, even steeper discounts can be had if you are willing to buy used through the Amazon Warehouse program. At the time of writing, Amazon Warehouse is offering a ‘Used – Like New’ edition for US$852, a further US$44.99 discount. All Amazon orders are eligible for return, refund or replacement within 30 days of receipt.
