Lakers back to their old losing ways and LeBron erupts: I don’t want to end my career at this level

  • by

In the entire regular season, the Los Angeles Lakers‘best streak is only four wins against the Sacramento Kings, Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets and San Antonio Spurs. It was the end of November and the Los Angeles franchise seemed to find a way to get back on track. Between the absence of Anthony Davis and an irregularity that strikes every week, the Lakers have not been able to maintain that. After beating the Orlando Magicthey fell in back-to-back games in Florida against the Miami Heat (112-98).

As was the case in the last loss on Christmas Day, LA was in the thick of things for a good part of the game. But the third quarter was a problem again, and it was then that they fell apart.

In terms of the standings, the Lakers are still not performing well enough to be in contention for the Play-In spots. They have 14 wins and 21 losses, and occupy the penultimate place in the West. They only beat the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rocketsimmersed in the fight for Victor Wembanyama. It is a major disaster for a legendary team.

It causes, of course, despair. For LeBron, above all. He is the one who pulls the cart and against the Heat – his former team – he scored 27 points with nine rebounds. Not enough, as only seven players scored – and Beverly scored six -. They have no depth and no direction, something that makes the King explode.

“I don’t want to end my career like this. I want to fight for a championship again because I can bring teams what they need,” James said.

“I’m a winner and I want to keep winning. It’s been in my DNA since I debuted in the NBA as a kid from Akron, Ohio. And playing at this level is not in my DNA. So we’ll see what happens next and how my career progresses.”

LeBron is not happy.
