Judge reigns supreme, 5 new Diamonds (August 19)

With the aftermath of the trade deadline still rippling, the latest MLB The Show 22 roster update has changes all across the league.

We’ve got details on the August 19 MLB The Show 22 roster update and which top player ratings are on the move.

MLB The Show 22 Roster Update: Aaron Judge reigns supreme

We’ve seen a major shift this year as Mike Trout’s placement as the most elite and coveted Diamond Dynasty player has continued to fracture.

Trout is struggling, and even before this update he was already down to a 92 OVR, but meanwhile the new king continues to improve.

Aaron Judge, who dethroned Trout for the top spot among Live Series cards in Diamond Dynasty earlier this year, got yet another boost in this update to take him to 97 OVR.

Judge is a full two points above second-best Live Series player Jacob deGrom, and he’s a full five points above former leader Mike Trout.

He wasn’t the only player seeing good moves this time, as five new Diamonds have arrived with the following players jumping to the 85+ threshold: Emmanuel Clase, Andrews Gimenez, Austin Riley, Zack Wheeler, and Dylan Cease.

While several players saw a downturn in this update, none were drastic enough to demote any Diamonds to Gold tier.
