John Terry TWICE deletes tweet criticizing Roy Keane for snub of fan at NFL London

Running scared, John? Former Chelsea captain Terry TWICE deletes his tweet criticizing Roy Keane for snubbing fan who wanted a selfie during NFL London game… as fans joke he ‘never did fancy it against a proper hardman!’

Taking on Roy Keane is no mean feat and former Chelsea captain John Terry decided better of it after twice deleting a tweet criticizing the ex-Manchester United hard-man.

Keane was left far from pleased on Sunday after he was pestered by a fan for a selfie while watching an NFL match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium between the Green Bay Packers and the New York Giants.

The clip went viral, leading Terry to have a pop at his old adversary… only to bottle it minutes later.

It takes 2 seconds to have a picture taken with the fans. I think this is poor!’ Terry tweeted.

Terry’s tweet came in response to talkSPORT radio presenter Laura Woods, who had highlighted the frosty Keane exchange, which had gone viral.

Woods suggested that Keane may have agreed to a photo with the fan once the game was in a moment of stoppage and that seemed to trigger a backtrack.

Terry quickly appeared to change his mind and backtracked by deleting it – only to bizarrely repost it again for a second time.

A second deletion of the tweet followed, removing all traces of it from his account, which has more than 500,000 followers.

Terry’s rapid backtrack was never going to go unnoticed and the former Chelsea center back was soon accused of ‘bottling’ it against Keane.

One Manchester United fan noted: ‘Terry has bottled it there, he never did fancy it against a proper hardman.’

Keane was left far from impressed as he rejected the fan in question’s request for a picture with him as the game was ongoing.

In the video the spectator approaches Keane, who immediately points to the pitch to indicate that he is not currently willing to interact.

The fan then steps into his line of vision to walk past, forcing Keane to crane his neck to get a look at the action.

Keane then crosses his arms in frustration before shaking his head in disbelief at the incident.
